This mini course introduces participants to essential information about Open Educational Resources (OERs). It includes key definitions, examples and reflective activities presented primarily in multimedia format. The goal of the course is for teachers to have a basic understanding of the benefits of using OERs, know where to find them, and how to evaluate their effectiveness.


In this course, participants will discuss the value of teaching basic skills through the lens of social context; describe how to use The Change Agent to teach students how to analyze issues; and create questions to accompany catalyst materials for classroom discussions and activities.

This course is a place for facilitators to learn tricks and tips for facilitation, explore the courseware, and exchange ideas.
